Symptom Danger Ratings

Green - Safe

Survivor does not need quarantine or liquidation. Even multiple green symptoms are safe.

Allow into Living Block

Orange - Dangerous

Not guaranteed to be zombie virus. Quarantine and monitor for 2-3 days. If symptoms improve, release. If worse or turn, liquidate.

Red - Infected

Definite zombie plague symptoms. Must be liquidated immediately. Will turn and kill survivors overnight if admitted.

Conjunctivitis
DangerCorners of eyes turn red, may appear puffy or cloudy. Matioscope shows no internal changes.

InfectedWhites of eyes turn bright red. Matioscope shows entire inner eye red.

Necrosis
InfectedSeveral splotches dark black in color. Don't mistake tattoos for this!
Bite Mark
InfectedBloody human teeth marks. Every bite is a zombie bite - no animal bites exist.

SafeTwo lines of blood, one from each nostril. Be wary of mustaches.
Mouth Bleeding
DangerBlood coating lower lip running down toward chin. Be wary of beards. Lab unlock.
Aggression
DangerAngry expression, often insults player. Higher chance of attacking when sent to quarantine.
Eye Pus
InfectedSmall drop of green pus on corner of one eye. Can be very small. Lab unlock.
Nose Pus
InfectedDrop of green pus from one nostril, usually prominent. Lab unlock required.

Elevated Temp
DangerTemperature 98.6-105°F (37-40.5°C). Wait for reading to stabilize - it rises over time!
Elevated Pulse
DangerPulse between 120-180 BPM. Pulse reads correctly immediately unlike temperature.
High Temp
InfectedTemperature over 105°F (40.5°C). Above human survival threshold.
Extreme Pulse
InfectedPulse over 180 BPM.

Sickly Breath
SafeBreathing with a slight wheeze. Only mark the worst symptom found.
Nonspecific Respiration
DangerHeavy wheeze and some gurgling mixed in. Lab unlock required.
Zombie Growl
InfectedSounds like a zombie growling instead of any kind of breathing. Lab unlock required.

Absent Reflex
SafeArm barely moves, just jerks an inch, never swings. Only check survivors with open mouth/slack jaw.
Hyperaggressive Reflex
DangerSurvivor swings at you with clawed hand when hit. This will damage you if close!
Crossed Reflex
InfectedOpposite limb reacts - hit right arm, left one swings. Combined with hyperaggressive = opposite arm attacks.

SafePink/orange tube with branches, occasionally twirls.
Thread Cluster
SafeBundle of white threads, remains stationary.
Ocular Helminth
SafeSmall translucent worm that wiggles in a straight line.
Adenoviral Body
SafeGreenish-orange ball with long nubs, occasionally pulses.
Phage Complex
DangerCylindrical head on tiny legs, floats in straight line.
Chromatic Staphylococcus
DangerSmudge of greenish-yellow goo with wavy motion.
Necrotic Plume
InfectedDark black blurry smudge, usually diamond shaped.
Corneal Infiltrate
InfectedDull green ball with tiny brown nubs.

X-Ray

Internal Bleeding
SafeOrgan still reddish but covered in bleeding sores.
Fatty Hepatosis
SafeOrgan covered in yellow splotches. Pancreas is always yellow - ignore it. Lab unlock.
Color Differences
DangerOrgan colored normal purple or slightly pinkish purple. Lab unlock required.
Moldy Organ
InfectedOrgan colored teal blue. Lab unlock required.
Organ Necrosis
InfectedOrgan almost fully covered in dark black splotches. Lab unlock required.

UV Tower

SymptomDangerDescription
UV Vapor
SafeGreen mist surrounding some part of survivor while UV active. Fly buzzing sound may indicate this.
UV Contraband
InfectedGreen glowing spot on any item from backpack while UV active. Check BEFORE confiscating items!
UV Symptom
InfectedRed symptom invisible normally but glows green during UV. Can be bites, necrosis, or pus.

Objects (Baggage)

Baggage Inspection / X-Ray

Weapon/Contraband
SafeWeapons, ammunition, drugs in backpack. Confiscate for $100. Don't take food/meds (-$100).
Internal Contraband
DangerItems hidden in organs visible on X-Ray. Tag with E, Charlie extracts. Check intestines, stomach, mouth.
Contaminated Baggage
InfectedBloody human parts (limbs, heads, organs, bones). Survivor must be liquidated. Confiscating costs $10.

Pro Tips

  • Use the Symptom Scanner at the entrance (upgrade) - lit symbols indicate possible symptom categories.
  • Press Tab to see survivor's ID photo - compare skin color to detect changes.
  • Some symptoms require lab unlock - send unknown symptoms to laboratory for extraction.

Warning

Missing infected individuals (Red symptoms) will cause them to turn and kill survivors in the Living Block overnight. Always liquidate Red symptoms immediately!
