Thermopulsometer

Thermopulsometer

Vital SignsDifficulty: Easy

Read heart rate and temperature. Wait for temperature to stabilize - it rises over time!

Detects
Elevated TempElevated PulseHigh TempExtreme Pulse
Matioscope

Matioscope

Ocular InspectionDifficulty: Hard

Look inside survivor's eyeball to detect microorganisms. Zoom out to see everything at once.

Detects
Ocular BacteriumThread ClusterOcular HelminthAdenoviral Body+3

Recommended Detection Order

1

Visual Inspection

Check eyes, skin markings, skin color, and face for visible symptoms

2

Thermopulsometer

Check temperature and pulse - wait for temp to stabilize!

3

Stethoscope

Listen to breathing patterns at black spots on lungs

4

Hammer

Only if survivor has slack jaw/open mouth - test reflexes

5

Matioscope

Only if survivor has droopy eyelids - check for eye organisms

6

X-Ray

Inspect all organs across all layers for discoloration

7

UV Tower

Activate UV light to reveal hidden symptoms and contraband

Pro Tips

The Symptom Scanner at the entrance can tell you which tool categories to check - if a symbol doesn't light up, skip that tool!
Survivors with stethoscope symptoms may cough, sneeze, or hiccup - watch for these visual cues
For hammer testing, aim for the forearm and take multiple swings - a normal reflex swings the arm about a foot
With the matioscope, zoom all the way out first to see all organisms at once
Temperature takes time to rise - don't read the initial number, wait for it to stabilize
X-Ray has three layers - liver is only on layer 1, brain is only on layer 3
UV light reveals hidden bite marks, necrosis, and eye/mouth leakage that's invisible normally
